Here is a route I made for my cousin. We were gonna stay at a friend's house in Boerne, but you could just connect the loop from Bandera back to Kerrville and bybass Boerne.
I'm not formiliar with the other side of I-10, but I know there is some good riding there too.
That little jaunt off the path between "C" and "D" is where the replica of Stone Henge (sp?) and Easter Island is (somewhere around there.)

Make sure you check out the Three Sisters. http://www.hillcountrycruising.com/the3s.html
This site has a lot off other good info. Some other interesting stops:
Hico Texas, great pie. Favorite spot on the way down from Dallas.
Salt Lick. One of the Hill Country's favorite BBQ spots. Get the family style, but plan a nap afterwards.
Mac & Ernies I haven't been yet, but heard it's great.

Yep the twisted sisters are definately what you want to work into your ride - 335, 336, and 337. They're all on that map I linked to. 335 is western most road and its the best one. HWY 16 from Bandera to Kerrville Is a great 4 lane highway with big sweepers and great views. The twisted sisters, in contrast, are extremely twisty and can be intimidating for the novice rider, but definately the highlight of the hill country. Most of the miles on the Sisters will be done in 2nd and 3rd gear.
The Motorcycle Museum is about 4 miles north of Vanderpool on 187. I believe it and the Motorcycle Stop in Leakey (a must stop) are only open on the weekends.

We alway sta at the D'Rose inn. It's in the middle of Leaky and Deb does a great job at taking care of you. You are in the middle of the 3 sisters. Camp wood is just around the corner - great little town for BBQ. Dont forget to stop off at Ninas for breakfast (German / Mexican resturant next to D'Rose Inn).

If you're going to be anywhere near Fredericksburg then you might want to plan a trip around noonish to Lukenbach. It's right there and a cool little place to sit down grab a cold one. A really neat place and it's where they base the "Hill Country Run" rally which is a small but has an excellent ride through the hills and the couple of times that I've gone they had a good mellow crowd.
