Default Any Bluing Problems with Fat Cats?

Trying to decide between chrome and black, has anyone ever had a bluing problem with a chrome Fat Cat?

No bluing on mine at all. They have heat shields all the way to the muffler. I've never seen bluing on any other D&D bike either.

Mine were discolored all the way back to the muffler (under the heat shields) before I had them ceramic coated black.

Most all pipes will yellow or blue UNDER THE HEAT SHIELDS, tune can help. That is why many pipes come with 270 degrees of shield coverage, thus to hide any discoloration!

Well, since you've seen three, that pretty much speaks for all of them, huh? The primary methods for coating these days are powder and ceramic coating. Maybe the guys you saw used Krylon Spray Paint. Mine were ceramic coated and while not as perfect as a factory finish, they look far from "crap". There are NASCAR teams that ceramic coat their pipes. Sorry about the thread hijack.
