Wear what you want. Don't worry what ya look like or what others wear. Most of the folks I ride with don't wear a lid. I always do.

I wear a Fulmer Full face with ear plugs to deaden the sound. I have an extended windshield, but the buffering from below is the problem on a street glide. I am hoping adding the lower fairing might be the answer..

I grew up wearing full face helmets...so its not an issue. The buffering can vary based on which wind screen I have on. I would go to rice rocket dealer and try on different lids. Just my .02

I wear both a full face or a half depending on the day and weather. I get quite a bit of buffering with my half at freeway speeds, but with my full face there isn't any. I have the stock FLHX windscreen and I'm 6'3" so my head is fully up in the wind. The full face is great to prevent wind/sunburn on the long sunny rides where I'm just going from point A to B. I do prefer the half when I'm going slow and want to see the scenery.

I use an HJC modular, but only on the coldest days, otherwise I'm using a 3/4 HJC and I carry an HD neoprene facemask as "chill backup" in case the helmet isn't enough.
The HJC modular is noisy and the hinge mechanism inside can rattle under certain conditions.
Choose your helmet carefully. Price should not necessarily be the prime consideration.

I tired, I have a new $350 Scorp in the closet, been wore twice.

Could not see, or hear.

Replaced it with a $30 3/4 for fowl weather. The face shield makes a dandy deflector

I wear a Scorpan full face, but I don't wear the shield because I do like a bit of a breeze. I don't like the blind spot of a full face, but I do like the protection. I have friend who is a fireman and he says from what he sees, full face makes a big difference in an accident, so I use the added protection. I do plan to get a half shell for those short slow trips in the summer.

Wear a full face all the time. Know you asked RG owners about it, but thought some would find this link interesting.
