Wife won't be riding anymore...

I am so sorry for the loss of a good riding partner. My wife and passenger of 18 years were rearended at a stop sign at about the same speed a by a brain-dead cager in September of 07. We both suffered broken bones and I got the worst of it. It took me six months to get back into riding and she never hesitated when I told her I was ready for a passenger again. I hope your wife comes around and if not on her own bike, on the back of yours. Best wishes to the both ou you.

I both sympathize with her and feel her pain. I was ran off the road by a Semi on 07-17-07 at 55mph on my way home from work. 12K damage to my 04 EGC and I walked away with 6 broke ribs. No helmet, no jacket. On 08-16-08, I t-boned a 17 yrd female talking on a cell phone at 11pm pulling out of an alley and into my path.
If that was not bad enough, she pulled away while I was lying beside/underneath her car while screaming and making an attempt to leave if it were not for some bystanders at the stop light she was nearing and stopped her there till police arrived!! 4k damage on that one. And I am STILL rideing that same scoot today!!!

So sad to read about it. Some say "it is not a matter of if... but when?" My accident happened two years ago after 20 years and a couple hundred thousand miles. Landed on my head in WV, broke my shoulder and my ribs. I was very lucky. After I recovered, I sold my old repaired bike, jumped on a new one and rode to Oregon. It was hard the first five thousand miles but it was too much a part of me to let go. I think I might know how you both feel. God Bless you both.
