Kelly doesn't have a price on the Anniversary model yet, but here's the link for a normal Ultra

seems a little low to me. I just made a deal today to trade my 07 ultra for an 09 ultra. They are giving me 15200 for my 07 with 30,300 miles on it. I was actually surprised at how much I'm getting for the trade. They must really want to move the 09s.

Why trade it in? Sell it yourself then buy a new bike.

+ 2 on ebay. I did some quick math...If you take what the dealer is offering, It cost you $18.00 per mile (less gas and maintenance) to ride your current bike. You could sell it on ebay for approx. $18,000. The dealer will make $2,000 on your bike. Don't do it!

Although the Economy is playing big time, I see it a very bad deal. Try harder to sell it on your own and then buy whatever you wish.

Take all accessories that can come off and sell them and/or put them on the bike you want to buy. Thats a big loss!

Seems like your just throwing money away. 22k for the bike?? 7500 in goodies. thats almost 30k and they will give you 16. Sounds like a great deal - for the dealer. You must really want a new bike. But on the other hand, if you are in a financial position to do the trade, congrats and enjoy the new bike.

I purchased a 2008 Anniversary Ultra in September '07. I tried to trade my 2007 bone stock Ultra with 4500 miles in on it and they would only give me $14,000 at the dealer. I posted it on this forums classified section and sold it for $16,000 or $16,500; I can't remember exactly how much. I think high (retail) book was around $18,000 at the time. I just split the difference between the dealer and high book to move it quickly. Sold it in a couple of hours. The forum member got a good deal, I got better than the dealer trade in and I didn't have to sit on an unsold bike for a long time. It was the way to go for me.

I know things are going to hell out there, but in September I got $15,300 trade on my 07 Softail Deluxe with low miles.
