Goodbye Rinehart - Hello Rush

Goodbye Rinehart - Hello Rush
Got the new Rush 1.75’s from Fuel Moto yesterday. Put-em on last night and waited all morning today for the ice to melt. Just got back from a 60 mile run. 34 degrees but no ice. Here's the report.
I LOVE-EM!!!!. But I want to give as honest of an opinion as possible.
As far as pure Volume goes, with stock being a 1 and the Rineharts being a 10, I'd say that the Rush with 1.75's are about a 7.
But the big change is the "tone" or "exhaust note". In my opinion, and my wife’s, they seem much lower in pitch and a much more consistent sounding rumble. The Rinehart volume or "loudness" bugged me but I really think it was a certain "Raspy" or "Cracking" sound that really bugged me the most. Not there with the Rush's. These mufflers sound like I wanted my Harley to sound. I think what may be happening is that these baffles are wrapped with packing material so that "cracking" sound I was hearing with the Rineharts is now gone.
Don’t get the impression that these are quiet, because I think if you are looking for quiet, or quieter, you might want to think about the 1.5's. I may even give the 1.5's a try sometime in the future being that I've come this far and they are only $65 for the pair of baffles. But probably not.
ALL in ALL, I'm a Happy Camper and probably gota few bugs on my teeth today!!
Anyway, that's the report. I'll see how they "break-in" over the next couple hundred miles.
I guess the next thing is to update my Sig Pic and polish up the Rineharts for E-Bay.

They will get louder thats for sure.
I put 1.5 in mine and wish they were even smaller!
What I did to cure that certain tone that just kills my ears at cruising speed was I welded a 2" washer in the intake side of the baffle that has like a 7/8" hole in it and it took away that tone I cant handle on long rides but still barks when I want it, works for me. I have some 1 3/4 like new baffles that I might possibably be willing to sell.

I got the straight cuts. Pretty much a Plain Jane look but that's what I like.
Rush also makes a tip compatible muffler with about 20 different options. You can see and hear them at www.rushracingproducts.com. Then you can make the smartest move and buy them from Fuel Moto.
