When I bought my bike I asked the wife if she wanted to ride and she said no so I lowered it, installed a solo seat, and removed the passenger floorboards. That what she gets!

The wife has logged many a mile with me over the years, but time marches on, we get a little older, knees a little weaker....so the trike is the "OUR" bike...she won't ride two wheels anymore and it doesn't matter what brand of bike, she doesn't feel safe on two wheels, loves the trike.
The EGC is the "ME" bike....why a touring bike??? I guess it's like buying your first car with power windows and power seats....what the hell was I thinking not having this before.....once I got a bike with hard bags, stereo, CB, top trunk, etc...there's no going back....
I just test rode several different bikes at a demo ride, rode the new Heritage ( always loved the styling, but missed the stereo after just a few minutes....I know I could make something work, but I love the bat wing fairing and spots...that to me screams Harley....

So, to answer your question correctly, two up on the trike about 10,000 miles a year, solo on my EGC, again about 10,000 miles a year..

90% 2 up. She loves to ride and gives us something to do. We joined H.O.G. and it has been great going on group rides.
SHE is talking about riding the bike to Sebring FL.
Thats 800 miles - not sure I am up for that but she wants to take it! Gotta love it.

Ride solo probably 80% of the time and just love the ride, storage, etc that the Ultra offers. Better half will go when she can but she's always busy with her stuff also. It's good to have some seperate interests also. Planning a trip out the east coast this summer, no particular places, just going, and she will go with me then. Two other couples going along so far, maybe more when the time comes. We never really plan trips very hard, just pick a direction and head that way, changing whatever we want as we go. Never know where we'll end up that way!

Bought it for me, my son loves to ride with me when the weather is permitting. Wife is getting her own license and bike.

I ride solo about 90% of the time not by choice. The times riding with my wife are some of my favorite times on the bike. She is why I bought the Ultra even though she only rides 10% of the time it is very important to me that she enjoys the ride as much as I do. My last bike was an 07 Screamin Eagle Dyna so you can imagine the switch to the Ultra was quite a shock but oh was it worth it. I wouldn't trade back for a second. Even though I got the Ultra for her it has made riding so much more enjoyable for me too. Oh and the reason the wife only rides about 10% of the time is that we have I have two beautiful daughters that are 2 and a half and 6 mos. so Mom gets gipped. I love the fact that she encourages me to ride anyway while she watches the kids. She says I am much more pleasant to be around after I have had my crack (ride)...lol. Looking forward to the girls getting a bit older so they can visit Grandma by themselves and momma and I can get lost on the bike for awhile.

I bought the street glide for the style was looking at at RK, I like baggers and I ride everywhere I can, work is only 15 miles one way and errands mostly except for my Reserve duty once a month I get a 350 miler in, all solo. My spousal unit will get home from work and say let's go for a ride, I'm expecting tonight since it's Friday. I'll Slap on the backrest and we'll be gone for short little rides less than 50 miles, new deep sundowner seat coming for her little hinny today or Monday then we'll be gone longer.

We're planning our first long ride 2 up, around northern AZ/four corners area, 500+ for the Memorial day weekend.

Had a Kawi Nomad bagger back in 2001 sold it in 2005, she missed riding as much as I did. I can't convince her to get her own, she's a little lazy that way, something about enjoy the sites.

She is already planning a tour pak upgrade for next year for her comfort.

As you know wife rides her own. She spent many years behind me and if we would have had the Ultra, she might still be there, who knows. She rode twice last year behind me on the King. With the Ultra and what we have planned she is planning on riding with me. But I am sure she will continue to ride her own most of the time.

My Wife is the One who actually rides what you might consider to be more of a Touring Bike. (RoadKing).. I have My Custom Softail..
With that said.... As soon as I can afford one, I'm going to buy a used Ultra just for my own Comfort on long Rides.. I have arthritus and a couple hundred miles on my Custom leaves me in some serious pain for a couple days. There will probibly be very few times that my wife would ride on the back..She much prefers riding her own on any road trips. She does however on occasion, Ride behind me on my Softail when were just runnin around town..Ohh and I would expect that if she was going out of town without me, I would probibly find her Roadking in the Garage and The Ultra gone..
