Personally, I find the stock seat on my 09 FLTR to be just fine.

I had trouble with the fly-by-wire for the throttle control ,twice, but the dealer got it fixed. Other than that the 09's are by-far the best! This is our 3rd H/D.

No problems with mine, but I didn't know about the vibration from the crossover pipe?

Many people feel the 09 touring bikes are some of the best they've ever made. That being said, I can think of a couple of things that could easily be improved:
  • Adjustable windshield - there's room in the batwing to incorporate an adjustable windshield. Nice to raise up and duck behind on cold days, lower in heat or bad visibility.
  • Upgraded radio - no reason why they can't include a slot for an SD card that would allow you to store thousands of MP3's, and be controllable with the existing hand controls.

I haven't noticed any vibration that didn't just feel like a big ol motor slowly rocking under me? And that is only noticable at a stop. Is this vibration you speak of noticable when in motion or at a stop? This is my first Ultra, Harley, 900lb gorilla and it's a blast to ride. So I guess I'd say Harley definitely got it right...for me anyway!

I only noticed it on the 70 mph around 3000 rpm. It was more of a very small buzz than a vibration. Not annoying, just there. I'm glad it can be fixed, but it wasn't an issue for me either.

I'm going to coin a phrase: The Dreaded 09 Exhaust Vibration...

JK. Really though my 09 windshield/batwing vibrated at 2K RPM. It was this absolutely annoying buzz that no matter what I tried would not go away. I did not notice too much vibration in the seat. Coming from an 07 the vibrations were way down. Anyhow I changed out the entire exhaust for a Fat Cat and low and behold the stinking windshild vibration I listened to for 3000 miles went bye-bye all of a sudden. Maybe there is something to this crossover mount thing... I'm just glad the buzz is gone.

Now if I could get the handlebar/batwing straight while going down the road I would have no problem with the 09. All in all a GREAT bike...

6 gal tank, cruise control std, 180 rear tire and vibration at idle. Sweet Jesus, does it get any better!?

Only serious complaint I've seen on the 2009 is the new fella that couldn't figure out how to get the gas cap off his new Road King the other day.
