Default Monster ovals VS Jackpot slip ons???

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had both the monster ovals and Jackpot slip ons or rush to compare them. I have the jackpot slip ons and am very happy with them but I really like the looks and sound of the monster ovals but not the price. Is there something about the monster ovals that make them so much higher than other slip ons? The main reason I'm thinking about the change is for the new VH power duals headpipe, I think it's going to be a comprimise between true duals and a good 2 into 1. I talked to VH and they told me the headpipe would make 3-4 hp more than stock or true duals on bottom end but be equal to true duals on top end, but they said it would not make the tq of a pro pipe on a 96 ci engine. I am a big fan of the 2 into 1 pipes tq but I also really like the looks of the 2 pipes on a bagger, so the power dual header may be ok.

I just added the Monster Ovals to my 08 Ultra and got them from Eastern Performance for $579.99 (black tips) and there was no tax or shipping. Great company to deal with !!!

The Monster Ovals for the 2009's cost more than for the 2008's. I don't know the reason for the difference.

does it have anything to do with the flap valve set-up on 09's and difrent size bore on left to right side ???? and if so does it make a difrence when you put equal size bore mufflers on an 09 ?

The 09's are a bit more as are the all chrome ones. I paid $579.99 for black tips for 08 model.

Thanks, I'll check back with EP on them. I just got into the middle of changing out my wheels now so I need to finish that.

You think the all chrome ones are more, the black are even more expensive for some reason.

V&H told me that the ONLY change in the MO's from 08-09, is a notch in the heat shields for clearance of the axle bolt.

WHY they are charging more for the 09s I don't know.

a. because they can?
b. there are NOT. They are selling the 09s at regular cost, and discounting the 08s?

dunno.
