150.00 for a battery!!!
Is just what I paid for a battery for my 04 ultra. The other one was bought a year and a half ago and went bad. HD only warranties it for 6 months/100% and the prorates it for another 6 months. It was a 100 bucks then. Is there another source for batteries that will fit and hold up as good as the HD for a good bit less $$$? My '03 Wideglide still has the original battery in it, but I expect it to go soon. Both bikes have had battery tenders on them since new.
Thanks

Not really, HD uses AGM mat, which is nice. You say you use a battery tender. When everytime the bike is not being used for more than a day. I put on a tender on overnight. On my old scoot I had the same battery for 6years. No problem on the new scoot 1.5 years. Just a thought. If you do have a tender on that often, then you might have a draw somewhere that is draining the bike's battery. Maybe voltage reg?

I got a battery tender with the bike new on 06. I've used it once. Never use it and the bike has sat for 2 months before. Whenever I start the bike, it runs for at least an hour or more before I shut it off, Maybe that helps. I look at the battery on the bike like a battery in a car. It's either good or bad or there is an electrical problem. My street rods don't have battery tenders on them, but I drive them too.
