i have a 06 that has the inner fairing painted getting a 09 can i swab the fairings around and is there a posting on it also the lower where the key switch is and one more thing my 06 has a chrome front end what is involved in doing this ?????????? also my 06 has a chrome hand controls and switches and master cylinder?????????????

Unless you are confident in tackling this job yourself I'd leave the '06 and get new parts for the '09.

 

On the inner you'll have an extra hole where the throttle cables go through, and you'll be missing the top hole for the adjustable fairing "wings" or whatever they're called.

As mentioned, the inners are different; you can do the swap but the '06 with the '09 inner would need a hole and grommet for the throttle/idle cables. The chrome front-end is interchangeable. The hand controls are interchangeable, but the master cylinders are different as are the levers IIRC. Plenty of labor time to accomplish, also.
