Same here - i won't take the truck out for anything if I can ride the bike. i even picked up a mulching kit for my John Deere mower last summer that I bungeed across the seat (stuck out 18" to either side of the seat). Guy at the mower place thought I was nuts - but I'd rather try and get it on the bike than go home and get my truck.

bought my first harley last summer, 07 ultra, im sure i will get bashed for this but we owned a 05 suzuki boulavard that we bought new, in 3 years put just over 5000 miles on it, not a real smooth riding bike but fun, sold it and went after my harley, drove 4 hrs to pick it up, never been on a bike that size, rode it home while the wife followed, loved it!!! already put 3000 miles on her, 4 hour trip or 4 minutes to the store, the ride is awsome, cant wait for warmer weather, you can always go the long way back home after picking up that loaf of bread, i always do!!! and love the tunes while i ride

The only negative about short rides (for me) is this time of year where temps can be all over the place in short amts of time. Figuring what to wear and should I take more, packing it etc. If the trip's 1/2m away (like our Kroger)... aw shoot, I'd take the bike . I ride in everything except 20s and/or rain. Only reason not 20s is I don't have e-gloves yet.
Memphis temps can be 20s in morning, 50s later that day. Real pita and seems worse having bought the bike in Nov, as this is all I know. I'm so looking forward to Spring or early Summer! Not having to mess with all this will be a breath of fresh air!
