Don't sweat Myrtle! Plenty of stuff goes on outside the city limits...actually...most of it does! So...go ride...hang with other people who say screw Myrtle Beach and enjoy the show outside the city limits!

Ride Safe, Mike

Default Move MBBike Week to OBX Bike week

IMHO I think everyone should ditch thier plans for Myrtle Beach and move them up a couple of weeks and make Outer Banks Bike Week the East Coast Event to be at. The vendors should follow suit as well.

This reminds me of when Datona outlawed thongs on the beach.....This MB crap is based on the same thing. The local haggy-baggys don't want thier men looking at other men havin outlandish fun with outlandish babes.

My first wife gritted her teeth thru my 10 different motorcycles, but she lived in utter fear I might someday buy a Harley.

I hate insecure people.

How can the City of Myrtle Beach require you to wear a helmet when the state says it's not required over 21?

I would guess that MB has passed City ordiances that require helmets. It is done all the time. If this is the case you would not be issued a state violation but you would be issued a City violation for the offense of no helmet. It would more than likely be only a cash fine and would not effect your driving record. If that helps.

Lastly these MB people are dumb. Yes Harleys are loud, but the riders also love to spend money, until you **** them off, then they shut you off, and then you will not get a cent from them. And this is apparently what they want. I thought the economy was bad? I guess it is not THAT bad in MB.

Been going for about 20 years. Still gonna go. Myrtle has been having bike week for nearly 70 years. This is just a bump in the road.

It might be fun to have a loud pipe contest about 2 feet from the city limits.
