Default HELP!!! StreetGlide Exhaust\Pipes Selection

HELP.....

I'm a new Harley owner. Bought Fatbob 6 months ago, decided I needed a bagger, so just got a new 09 Vivid Black SG.

I'm stressing out over pipe selection. On my FB I walked into the dealer, heard some VH Big Radius Ovals on a FB and bought em.

I've been trying to do research on pipes for my new SG.

Too many options. Do I keep the stock headers, and go with a slip on, Do I go to true duals. Do I change the baffles to Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. I want the bike to be loud. Scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being obnoxious, probably want a level 7 sound. I want it to snap some heads when it fires up.

I want to stick with the dual exhaust look, so NO (2 into 1) or (2 into 2) setups.

I'm leaning to keeping the stock headers and going with a slipons, but I want good loud exhaust sound. All recommendations, opinions, suggestions and\or exhaust sound clips are desired. So PM or give me some advice in this thread.

Slip ons only....go with Rush 1.75 or 2.0 baffles. Good bang for the buck.

I've got V&H fishtails on my RK slip ons and kept the cross over (it's an 06 by the way). It's loud enough and looks cool. Pretty much any of the V&H products produce a good sound from my experience with softails and RKs.

I have the Rush 2.25 baffles with stock headpipes. They sound very similar to my former 07 Nightrain with V&H Big Radius with stock baffles.

These are great slip-ons for performance and are not loud. Great sound.

Did you have the bike remapped after the Rush slip ons? Had the 2" baffle on my Dyna and was told 2" and under doesn't need it. Want to be safe and do the right thing with the 09.

My personal choice would be to consider a performance package from Fuel Moto. Rush or Jackpot slip-on's. That way you are getting great customer service, added performance, better airflow, cooler temps, better sound, and adjustable fuel management. Plus you can swap baffles easily if you want to change the sound or have sound options for destinations that have "Noise ****'s" The 2.0 baffles might be a good starting point if you want that "7" out of "10" sound.

I have V&H Classic Slipons.....Love them to death..... sounds nice and deep at idle, and can really cut through when needed..........Would only get the classic if I did it again.....
