Just get the Ultra in Black and quit worrying about it. See how easy that is?

Not sure if you've decided yet. My wife and I decided together. It was the one for the best price and that fit us.

This is just my oppinion....Ask yourself really "how much am I going to ride this thing?" If your looking to put some serious miles on this bike, go with the Road Glide (no brainer) If your more of a casual rider as I am (mostly local run's, a few long distant rides, I'd go with the King.......It's really that simple....These are simple choice's for compicated people

Just pick any of them. The real wit's end is the accessory catalog.

Default My Opinion

First, if you're really wanting a tourer, disregard the soft bags. The hard bags are waaay nice! I've had nice leather bags in the past, and they are nice, but just can't compare to the convenience.

That said, I bought an RK Standard because I didn't want the weight up top.

I've also heard many great things about the RG. I would say rent the RG and see if you like it around town. If so, you probably have your hearts desire. If it feels awkward to you because of the weight up top, I would go with the RK.

You could probably even work a deal with the dealer to "credit" back the rental fees on both bikes. I've seen it done.

Best of luck. In the end, you really can't go wrong.
