Default Brembo front conversion

To those that have done the Brembo front conversion on a pre 08 bike:
If you have a few miles on,how do you like it?
Does it really make a big differance?
Would you do it again?
Worth the money?

I purchased the parts off Ebay and when I was finished I sold my take off parts. All told the conversion may have cost me $75. And yes I would do it again.

Take a test drive on an 08 or 09 Touring bike, then ask yourself if you want these brakes on your bike. I teat drove an 09, two things I liked. The Brembo front brakes and slightly lower gearing. Not enough to have me trade up, but enough for me to add the brakes.

Question on upgrading? What do you need to upgrade from 2007 electra glide stock brakes to the brembo brakes? Is it just the parts from a 2008 or do you need something specific?

Wvultra was the first to do this upgrade, he has a great write up on it with a parts list. And not wanting to steal his thunder, I'm sure if email him, he will be happy to send it to you.

I put Brembo rotors and callipers on my 2003 FLHTCi. Expensive but on my trip this year that included a fair bit of mountain riding they were well worth the money. Two finger braking, much netter control and the lever doesn't come almost back to the handlebar in hard braking. Consider this upgrade equal to installing the big bore kit in terms of value

are the mounting locations on the fork sliders for the 07 and earlier bikes with the old style brakes the same as the 08 and newer bikes with brembos?
