I use The Heat Glove, uses AA batteries. The last pair I had lasted years. I just ordered a new set today.

Where do you get these? I have enough gear that I stay warm except for my fingers and don't really want to go to the expense of heated gloves, temp controller, harness. etc.

The Harley Windshielder gloves (P# 98158-95VM) are great. They are pricey at $80 but your hands will not get cold as they are lined in WindTex Thermolite, have padded palms and they are reasonably waterproof, and the gauntlet is just enough to cover your jacket sleeves to keep all the wind out but not too long at the same time.

Tried the plug-ins and they are a PITA, IMHO. Finally ended up with Dakine Titan XL ski/ snowboard gloves. No hassle, great fleece liners included, waterproof. No more cold hands.
