Dude, you can't go wrong for $100. I hear only good things about those pipes. Buy em, try em, if you don't like em , sell and get your money back.

Default V&H Basics

I have a pair on my 07 Ultra w/true duals & they are way to loud. When I first installed them they were great but as I put miles on them the fiberglass packing burned up and the noise increased beyond my tolerable level. Good luck on finding he mufflers that give you the tone that you are looking for!!!

Most definitely agree with Jazz56 - it's a small price to pay to see if you like them or not - in my book...."a no brainier" - if you end up not wanting them I'm sure someone in this forum will take them off your hands or just sell them on craigslist or eBay.

I agree, for $100, how can you go wrong? Try em, and if you don't like em, list on the classifieds here, they'll sell.

I agree with Lenny on the packing burning out and getting loader. It also changes the tuneing when the packing burns out,not much but some.I have a set of the same things with true duals going on e-bay very shortly.I have installed 2 to 1's with Thrunderheader.Love that sound.By the way,for a couple hundred more over a pair of Thundercones, you can get 2 to1 with Thrunderheader and gain as much as 10 hp.Just my .02

I just sold a like new set on ebay. Wasn't loud enough for me. Put Rush 2.5 on mind. It's loud enough now.

I have Vance & Hines Basics on my 08 Ultra. Plenty loud and pull good numbers when
dyno tuned. Before I bought them I talked to a well known tuner in the Northwest and he recommended them for good power.

I just bought a set of Rinehart slip-ons for my 09 King, but my next choice would have been the V&H basic slip-ons. The best deal I could find for new set of those on Ebay was $330 shipped...answer your question? Worst case- you don't like 'em (which I know you will) & you sell them on Ebay for atleast $100 more than what you paid!
