How easy to remove this?
I am contemplating on removing the front bumper trim on my FLHTC (just the rubber and chrome housing) and leave on the top chrome portion with the light. I am considering a more cleaner look on the front fender. Is there anyone who have taken theres off and if so, did you do it without removing the front wheel? I was looking under there and see what need to be removed...How did you do your?

I removed both my front and rear bumpers. I was successful in not having to remove the front tire, but others had to remove theirs. The plate that is under the two bolts for attaching the fender is bent over to form tabs to prevent the bolts from turning. You will have to stick a long skinny flatblade through the space between the top of the tire and the fender and bend the tabs back so you can get a box wrench on it to remove the bolt to take off the bumber. Then there is a nut that needs to come off under the front of the fender which can be put back on once you remove the bumper

Just took mine off last weekend. Found an even easier way than trying to bend the tabs with a screwdriver. Pick up a Gator Grip socket. There is enough of the head of the two bolts on each side exposed for the socket to fully grip. Give it a few turns and the tabs will bend up and out of the way while turning. Then you can use a regular socket to take it the rest of the way off.

So let me get this right. All I have to remove is the 2 nuts on each side of the wheel to the front and the lower front nut and that's it. Then replace all three nuts and once that is done bend the tabs back. What did you use to remove the front nut with? That is a tight area for a socket wrench.
