Default Headwinds

I have a Headwinds setup. It is a light bar and two Rocket Spots with 35W Halogens. I can install 50W if I wish. I find the 35's plenty bright to fill in from the bike out to the headlight beam. They give a nice pool of light.

Default With HID why bother?

With the advent of HID, why draw extra current 35W in comparison with 55/60 watt (stock HD headlight bulb) when you get these results? There is no way a halogen bulb, no matter how many you put on your bike, will get these results. I personally do not use cheep lighting found at Wally World on any of my motorcycles. A matter of choice and a better paying job.

HID in a single 7" headlamp

A pair of 35 watt HID in stock HD passing lamps only

All photos are not retouched.

All HID using stock buckets and stock lamps.

have them on my 09 and love them...also waaayyy cheaper than motolights and kury lights. pretty easy to install. biggest hassle on r/g is r/r outer fairing and fuel tank to do correctly. took about 2 hours complete

I have the fogs on my Street Glide. More light for visiblity sake ie; being seen by the other guy without going to the passing lamps and messing with the SG's Cyclops look.

I like them.

Primo

P.S. Click on picture link below for some different views of them installed.

They are an HD part http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
*****,
I just had them done in the fall. I figure I needed them for cages to see me better. One of the nice things about it is when going slow and manuvering in sharp turns they really fill in the dark spot to the sides of your light beems. Kind of like cornering lights on a old Caddy. Well worth it. Now I plan on cutting into my soft lowers so I can leave them on when the lowers are on in cold weather. Can't wait to see how that works.
