Default True Dual headers and PC V - Power Increase?

Hey folks - I have an 08 FLHX with SE Stage 1 kit: hi-flow A/C, V&H basic slip-ons, and new EFI map from the dealer. I'm thinking of getting the V&H true dual headers with the PC V from Jamie @ FuelMotoUSA. Three questions:

1. Will the power jump considerably (say, 5 - 10 hp or better)?
2. Will it reduce exhaust heat on a hot day?
3. I'm averaging 40 mpg now (almost all hi speed highway work) - will this take a beating?

If anyone has done this (or close to), can you please relate your experience and whether it was worth the money & effort. Thank you!!!

You'll loose some torque with true duals. But I plan on doing it anyway, but installing Thunder City Monster baffles inside the head pipes to reclaim some torque with the added backpressure they provide.

I have heard that, but have run my old evo bike with two engines, both with true duals. Didn't notice any difference with the original stroked engine, except the great sound! I now have an S&S 107 and wrote to S&S asking them if they recommend true duals. They do and I get 90 ft lbs or more from 2,500rpm through to 5,500, peaking at 102. I could probably get a little more with a 2 into 1 setup, but according to S&S's figures my bike is close to their spec. The bike was set up on a dyno and minor adjustments made after a shakedown mileage.

So if you go true duals, get your bike set up for them and ride!

Default Pc v

The PC V is for 09 models. Fuel Moto is going to test to see if it will work on the 08's, but as far as I know, they haven't approved it yet. I'm waiting patiently.

I got an email saying from Jamie at Fuel Moto saying that PC V will be available in less than one week. This email came through last week... any day now!

And to Leftcoaster: thanks. Succinct answers, but then I guess they are pretty specific questions!

My Dad just ordered the PCV and the stage 1 air-cleaner today from fuelmoto today and we plan to install it this weekend. Can't wait to see what kind of benefits he gets. He already has some Bub7 slip-ons on the bike.

Dynojet is supporting PC V on 09 and later models. However, we are supporting PC V on the 09 as well as most 07-08 models and several applications are ready and currently shipping. Understand when purchasing a PC V for pre-09 models that all support and warranty will be thru Fuel Moto. For more info feel free to contact us at 877-729-4754

1) H.P = 73.5 Torque = 85.5 With my set-up...

2) & 3) Never rode it with stock set-up

Jamie,

Is there any 'real' advantage to running the V vs. the III???

Thanks,

Ben
