Had the same question for my Pewter SG. I was thinking black but saw one like mine with the pewter match...no question which way to go. Match the paint. For me, I'll have 12" black bars and external mirrors all in black coming off the pewter.
Now for your bike..I saw one just the other day with the Sunglo matching paint...it looked killer. Going forward on the "whether to match the inner fairing question or not" it's gonna be a yes from me. The bike looks very finished and not "too much" at all.

Match the paint!!! You'll like the crimson red sunglow inner fairing. It will make it look more different than black and it is not over whelming.

 

I gotta go with most everyone, and say paint it to match!

Another vote for paint to match. Look at the 09 Screamin Eagle Road Glides, looks custom. I am painting my 08 SG to match vivid black to vivid black.

 

mine is not painted but i have said that if i paint mine it would be gloss black

 

I had the inner match the bike and its amazing how many compliments we receive. I saw a 08 Ultra Classic new at a dealership in the same color that you have and I was impressed, so impressed we had ours painted. DAN

 

Color match...hands down.
