Default Getting rid of Antenna

Putting together the infamous list of parts to order for the SG. Looking to get rid of the antenna to clean up the back of the bike. Has anyone tried this product?

I understand it works fairly well. I have heard good things about it and the Tune Trapper which I went with.

Default DD Inside Fairing Mount Antenna

I hope this works way better than the Dikota Digital Inside The Fairing Mount Antenna. I went with the DD and it is terrible. Where are you guys mounting this antenna?

I tried the "antenna x" version and it was useless. I went with a replacement auto antenna with a short rubber whip, less that $10 at the local auto parts store. Used a couple of wire ties and attached to the harness under the fairing. Great reception on all bands including weather.

I'm using the Dakota Digital for a year and a half now, and it works great.

Went to AutoZone and purchased a rubber coated auto antenna about 2 feet long and strapped it inside the fairing. My H-D mechanic suggested the idea and he was right...I get great reception with no motor or vibration noises. Cost $14.00! Plus, I get better reception than some of my buddies with the bag antenna.
