Default 08 Road Glide Rental

Local Harley dealership has an 08 RoadGlide from their rental fleet for sale, 17,995. 8000 miles Comes with highway pegs, quickdisconnect for tour pak, (tour pak NOT included). Still has a two year warranty on it. Any thoughts on what a good offer might be, I'm thinking of giving them 16k, take it or leave it.

WHOOPS, I forgot to add, it has ABS, Security and Cruise on it. I appreciate all the help and info.
Thanks

I'd offer $15,000 out the door then let them make a counter offer then haggle on price till I got some goodies and bike for $16,000 or less, but I love to haggle and jew and I'm good at it, and the economy is in a bad way no matter how they will tell you the bikes are flying out the doors! Did it have a T/Pak on it and they removed it or did it just have the mounts? $17,995 is to much for a bike with 8000 miles on even if it is a demo, (and we all know how demo's are ridden) $16,500 is most I'd go and they would have to toss in a set of color matched lower fairing's for that price, (something every Road Glide needs) I mean how much would they have given you if it was your 08 and you were wanting to trade in on an 09? Safe to say it wouldn't be $17995!!! Just my 2 cents, but Harley's hurting for sales and it's a buyer's market, so just remember you have the power for once, so don't be afraid to use it! Good Luck and great taste in wanting a Shark Nose!

I posted this reply earlier:
I stopped by my local dealer, who couldn't be much farther away from you, www.downtown-harley.com in Seattle. They had the following on the floor, brand new:
FLTR Road Glide 8557709 Black Pearl $16,800
FLTR Road Glide 8808913 Candy Red / ABS $17,500
Two nice colors, my problem is, I read to much, and think I need a 2009.
I'm not sure how much more one would be, I should of asked.
Hope it helps, I do believe there are some super deals out there now.

In addition to what everyone else said about offering something lower, I'd get them to include the tourpak that obviously was put on for at least some of the rentals since it already has the disconnect system. What the heck are they gonna do with a used tourpak, sell it on Ebay?
