Hate to clog up the threads but,

Just to let all know, there's a 15% discount for Forum members. This is the slow time of the year, and I'm looking to get busy again.

There have been positive remarks regarding the parts that members have received, and unlike other companies, I do not take money upfront for projects. It's not right holding someone's cash until there's something to deliver.

Do you do scroll work on .45 slides?

I haven't, but I could. I engrave the stainless steel rivets for Harley Museum Wall. The stainless is a 304 grade - nasty, gummy stuff.

My artist has also done scroll work. I leave the artsy stuff to him. &, I always send our proofs before cutting anything.

 

I've got a Springfield 1911-A1. How about a ballpark on mild scrolls.

 

I'll admit to needing a wee bit of help. I did some research into the 1991 A1. There appear to be people that will make special slides. Could you put me in contact with a decent source for those?

I'd buy a blank slide, engrave it, and then have it finished.

The art charge is $60 for any custom part (motorcycle or other), less 15% for a forum member. I'd like to see what the slide geometry is like ahead of pricing the engraving.

I have to tell you guys that I placed an order with Tim a little over a week ago. Already he has sent me three proofs, I've approved one, it has been engraved, and has been sent to the chromer. This is outstanding service! Anyone needing any engraving, I would highly recommend Tim!
