The Bassanis are quite a bit louder than the Monsters. And more so when you get on it.
I had a pair on my 03 for about a month. Very deep and sounded good, but they are loud. Guys riding behind me said it was like standing under an Apache Attack Chopper...
WHUMP! WHUMP! WHUMP! WHUMP!WHUMP! WHUMP! WHUMP! WHUMP!
You could FEEL them in your chest.
My thinking at the time was "what good is a stereo when you cant hear it?" So I took them off. I really did like the sound, but its one of those, after a few hours, my ears were ringing all day...type of things.

I've got bassani true duals and slipons. Mind you, they are not the reverse cones, they are the slant cut ones with 2.5 cores. sound sweet at idle, can actually talk to the scoot beside you in traffic, but when you get on them, you can set off car alarms from the left lane, I've done it. Running down the road they aren't too loud, you can actually hear your passenger talking to you. From what I've heard they are louder than the ovals when you roll on the throttle. You might want to give those a look.
