don't take this the wrong way, but when you're self employed you have an @$$hole for a boss. You will push yourself harder than you would work for anyone else and take less pay to do it. It's all about having pride in yourself and the work you do. Payday comes when you've done a good job over a period of time and you have equity to do with as you please as the result of your own abilities. Be smart enough to evaluate your ability and potential income owning your own business versus working on someone else's payroll. It's not worth starving or having your family do without just so you can say you are your own boss. Thanks for your service, congratulations on your retirement, and good luck in your endeavors.
