I fitted a different brand of stronger clutch spring, but have the same problem. Two things have been suggested to me. One is simply to lubricate the cable (as already suggested), the other is to fit a 'Clutchlite' which can be had in three different versions to reduce effort. I just got mine, which I will fit when the weather gets a bit warmer!

Had the same problem for the same reason on my '06 SG. Put in the SE spring and no more slippage. Much cheaper than a VP setup but that's next if it starts slipping again. Lever pull is harder but surprising enough it's less than my friends '07 CVO Ultra with the hydraulic clutch. The lever pull is a small price to pay for the extra power. Keep the cable lubed ( a couple times per year, depending on usage) and it'll stay tolerable.

Both my CVO and Ultra have the SE springs and hydraulic release and are like butter! Or maybe I don't know my own strength?

I agree most here do. To say a HD clutch pulls remotely hard is BS. Guess most have never rode a dirt bike. My kid sister could not only pull the clutch in, but start my single cylinder KX500 2 stroke DB...kick start boys... and she weighed at best 80#. Wimps.

I put one in my 2008. I did not notice much difference at all in the clutch pull effort going to the SE spring.
