Default Kuryakyn Fork Tiedowns?

Has anyone used these? They look like a great idea for my '09 Ultra but I question how solid the mount is since they are screwed to the forks where the light bracket is mounted. Is this a solid enough connection for tieing down a heavy bike?

I think you are right to question it. I'd pass on it.

If you are talking about tying down the front end on a big bike, place the front wheel in a chock, then put a hog tie arround the fork just above where the fender bolts on and run a ratchet strap forward and and out to the side. Mine anchors are 12 in. in front of the tire and 24 in. out to each side. The rear is held by a hog tie around the passenger floorboard braces then ratchet strap them out to the side and down. Mine hasn't moved as fast and wild as I drive.

Better off with a set of Powertyes ratchet tie downs with the built in soft tie. They are stronger and not stuck on your bike.

When I take my scoot in for service (warranty stuff) I tie down this way, with all pressure pulling forward into my wheel chock.

In answer to your question. I bought a set and used them to haul my 07 Ultra from Mid Michigan to SW Fla...No issues

I place a set of soft ties around the lower tree of the forks...ratchet staps....no issues.
why bolt something on and strap to it???? doesn't make sense. One of the strongest points is the tripple trees....use the lower one, easy.

I use them with the Wheel Dock, they do very well. As for the looks I really like the way they look.
