Are the threads normal on both ends of the rod? That is, neither is reverse threaded like a turnbuckle would be are they? I'm just gonna do the mcmaster carr heim joints I think. Also what size hole do I need in the heim ball? Is it also 5/16 like the rod ends?
2006 Electraglide - Mine broke at 10,000 and 15,000 miles - Have peace of mind and replace it with non-stock. I wonder if there is an aftermarket linkage that is functional (inexpensive) but properly designed????
I got a nice looking shifter rod (Skulls, but they have tribal, and such too) for $50 delivered from a guy on Ebay, No problems with it so far. Check ebay for chrome shift linakges

yes, the threads are both right handed. seems like one should be left handed to facilitate adjustment.
if you just want to keep the stock rod, you can get the heim joints off of ebay for about $8.00 pr (not chromed) from username racebasics.....
