Old timers call their bikes "motors", short for motorcycle.
I've got an uncle who still uses that term. He'll ask me "You been ridin' that motor any?".

Glad you got an answer to your question. I see people ask questions here from time to time and get harpooned by the "knowledge is power" posters here. I like to look at it his way, There maybe no dumb questions, but there are definitely dumb answers.

Ok, I'll now get all the ole timers pissed,,,,I am calling my Roadglide "ENGINE" Motors are electric,,,Oh no....now it really stepped in it......
