Just curious how many of you out there may have made the switch from say a Road Glide to a Batwing such as a Street Glide, EGC etc or visa versa and what you've found or aka liked or disliked ? I've recently sold my Road Glide and I've owned two of them now and found a great deal on an EGC so it'd be a big difference. I just left the local dealership and saw an 09 Screaming Eagle Road Glide and it was lust at first sight I tell ya.

EG Standard to R G for me.

I like the look of the bike (OK, my opinion, but I just like things that you don't see 10 of every day).

Frame mounted fairing = a little lighter steering. The bike just seems to handle better. Even at low speeds 2 up I can maneuver better than the other ride. It's a little better in wind / gusts (18 wheels going by the other way) as well.

Don't really care about the radio, when I am out I don't need that noise on me. I like the sound of the bike and whatever else I can hear (no loud pipes thanks).

Can't comment on much else. It's not fair to compare ride / engine / power etc coming from an 02 carbed 88" Standard to an 08 FI 96".

I just love the bike and don't see going back to a batwing.

Been riding for 40+ years and it's just my opinion.

For me I have chronic hand pain and the batwing steering was MUCH heavier to me than the RG. Plus I wanted to put apes on my bike because my hands hurt less when they are above my heart and I was limited on what bars I could put on the SG. If HD had a factory equipped ultra RG then that would be my ideal pick. It just nickel and dimes ya to make a RG fully ultra equipped.

Went from a ultra to a road glide. Both have their good and bad points.
