Batwing to Shark Nose. I will never go back. I agree with Lee, HD needs to make an RG Ultra. They need to bring back the Tour Glide.

 

08' BW to a 09' Sharknose and for me the in the seat fitment to handle bars is way
more comfortable. not so cramped if you know what I mean. As far as handlining I vote
for the RG power is obviously the same although the new gearing on the 09' is better
than the 08' and I actually like the look of the sharknose now as I was unsure of it in the
past, kind of grows on you I guess.

Can't see me going back anytime soon.......

 

1) They are both Fugly but I choose the Bat because I want the Ultra comfort and the Bat is the lesser Fugly of the two Fugly fairings IMHO.

2) The RKC is the best looking bike in the lineup, IMHO!!! My dream and ultimate goal is to park an 03 RKC, Silver Ann, next to my Ultra in the garage.

15yrs & 170k miles on my 1990 Ultra Classic Electra Glide..... 9 month and 15k so far on my 2008 Roadie trike and counting...... Love em both but I like having the Roadglide faring out in front of me so much more

 

1980 Street Glide to 2001 Fatboy to 2007 Street Glide to 2009 CVO Road Glide.
I bought each one new & kept them untill the next one bumped it out of the garage.

 

Im going from a 05 EGS to a 09 RG.
Its ordered.Due in Feburary.
Test rode a 09 Ultra.Also test rode a 05 RG.
On the super slab the RG RULES.
The 09 Ultra is much refined from my 05 of that there is no dought.Put those refinements
into a RG and I dont see how you could beat it.

I was looking at an 08 and got the idea to buy an ultra and just exchange the fairings, talked to the three local dealers and two were crazy expensive and then I talked to third Lynchburg Harley and they were reasonable I thought! I then found my 04 RG with over $20k of changes someone else had paid for and forgot about it! Still if I was buying new I would check out this option , sure it costs more but its cheaper than paying for all that stuff after you buy your RG. Same frame ,same motor ,same trans, etcetera. Just my thoughts .
