JBL 527 or Kenwoods 4 ohm
Guys, After researching for months on improving my sound system I decided to buy some JBL 527 2 ohm speakers that have been talked about over and over on this forum. I finally found a great deal on ebay for $25 delivered and bought a set. But yesterday when I went to install the new speakers I had found that the previous owner of the bike had already installed a pair of kenwood 4 ohm speakers. I am wondering if anybody has compared these two types of speakers. what is the difference of 2 or 4 ohm speakers. I will be connecting the battery back up and trying them for my self but just wondering if anybody has any info on the kenwoods. Thanks

Depending on what year your bike is the radio is rated at 4 ohm or 2 ohm speaker output and you should match the correct ohm rating on the speakers to the radio. Find out what ohm rating your radio is and use the speakers that match.
If you have the wrong ohm rated speakers hooked up now might not let your speakers perform as well as they could.
