Or is it just me?

Been 2 weeks since I ordered 600 bucks worth of stuff from Phat Performance.......Their site says "order received, waiting to ship"

All I get is a recording when I call....They charged my debit card instantly, but ain't shipped yet....Most Etailers don't charge till they ship, but these guys got my bucks and ain't shipped nuthin nor do they respond to my calls or email.

Anyone here had experience with them?

 

Phat is a standup vendor, I have ordered from him several times and never an issue. He is one of the best vendors in the Roadstar world. Not sure what the delay in your order would be tho. Did you leave a message when you called?

 

I'd agree w/ that---matt at phat's has always been a stand up guy in any dealings I've ever had w/ them, and I ordered thousands upon thousands of $$ worth of Roadstar parts from them. I know that around this time of yr, they have to deal w/ holidays/mfg and retooling breaks from some of the people he gets his stuff from (namely, the break line companies). Typically, he'd give me 10-15% off without asking, so I'd say give 'em a little more time, then call Matt directly.

 

Think its the same with lots of vendors this year because of the way the holidays fell during week. I am waiting on Chicago HD and Pipecity for two weeks. I know the moco is not shipping anything til this week.

 

Holidays is a likely reason. I have orderd from Phat once. Got Progressive 440s for my VTX at a great price and in a reasonable amount of time. Perhaps there is a backorder and they will not ship out until the order is complete. That happened with my last Chicago HD purchase. It just laid there due to a backorder. I had to call to get partial shipment. BTW, Chicago HD did not charge my card until the products shipped out. I appreciated that.

Finally had contact with Matt at Phat. It seems they were shut down until yesterday for holidays.......He explained a few points about his site...those little details are kinda hidden in his Faq page.

Whenever you view an item on his site there might be a comment on the page that says "Usually ships within 24-48 hours" What that actually means is it is not in stock.....Which was the case for my items.

I have received one of the items, but still waiting for the rest of the order...status page still says, "Order received, waiting to ship"

Ok, I learned a lesson when dealing with Phat. Next time if I am in a rush I'll confirm the items are actually in stock.

Yes, Phat has perhaps the best prices, but their communications ain't the best.

 

Things I've learned over the years. Get that information BEFORE you make an order to an ETrader. Then you know what's cookin' when your order is delayed or backordered. Lesson learned. Good luck.
