Dyno right after 103 build?
My dealer who will be doing my 103 build (basic-SE 103 jugs, flat top cast SE pistons, stock heads, SE 255 cams) said its ok to dyno right after the build. I thought a mild break in period would be required? I have pipes, Hi flow and PC III already. 2008 Road King FLHR

If it was up to me, I would wait until you break in the piston rings. Unless you have a dyno tuner who is that good he knows how to break in an eingin on the dyno. I know of very few of those type of people. Best answer to you question is ask the dyno tuner yourself and see what is response is. If he tells you he is just going to do a pull and that is how he is going to break it in, I would then wait.

This is the method i have used on all my new motorcycles, and haven´t had any problems. Not saying this is the only way to go, but the seating of the pistonrings is a critical thing for a troublefree engine later on.

You trusted him to do your rebuild - so you should trust him to finish the job! If he reckons on doing a dyno run, doesn't mean he is going to try to bust it, just set it up for you. He will probably suggest you take it back after a certain mileage, when he will check it all over.
That is what my S&S 107 fitter did for me when I had it fitted. I'll get it checked over for the start of the new season, when it comes. Snowing at the moment....

I have broke in builds in this manner without problems.
