My vote is for the heated gloves, they work great and as for the wires, they will pull loose very easily. I use electric on my work ride and have the connection run up to the front of the seat. Ocassionaly I will dismount quickly and forget to disconnect and the wires pull loose without a hitch.

I'm not one to spend money recklessly and have put off the purchase of heated grips or gloves for over a year. I have followed the opinions of the forum members who have commented on the topic.

Friday, I got a catalog from motosport.com. They had Tourmaster Synergy heated gloves, complete with Y harness and 3 position heat switch for $126, shipment included. I jumped on it.They'll be here Monday or Tuesday. Less expensive than either HD heated grips or Gerbings gloves. I have a trip down to Vegas Friday, and so I'll get a chance to try them out.

I haven't tried either yet. But from riding without them I can tell you my fingers, especially the tips, are what gets the coldest. My palms usually don't. With that being said I think if I was going to get either I would go with heated gloves. Don't see how grips could do much of anything for the tips of my fingers.

I just bought the Tourmaster Synergy heated gloves here locally. ( jakewilson.com ) They seem to work fine, but they don't have a disconnect from the heat controller.

Default gerbin gloves

my research showed that gerbin makes the gloves for harley which only carry a one year warrenty. gerbin has a lifetime warranty and the price is the same, the gloves from them just won't have Harley logos on them. I guess I will get some soon since it is in the twenties here in middle ga now and we have several more weeks of cold riding ahead of us.

I have the heat demons best thing since sliced bread in the spring and fall, in the winter you'll need more than just the grips. I can't wear a winter glove on my right hand because of a wreck in the 80's left 2 fingers curled in a bad way so in the winter I use hippo hands, (ugly, yeah but only takes a minute to put on or remove) Rode last Sat. bare hands and the hippo's and the heat Demons at 15 degree and was toasty just one more option

alot of heat is lost when there is air wicking over and into your hand, fairing riders have a shield but heatloss is still felt. Hippo hands serve as both a block and heat so yeah they are a great choice for real cold riding. I still use my walmart specials and grad the exhaust ,,;-)
