I use both, but I've been there and done that.

I reckon I've been riding as long or longer than most here and I like the toe/heel shifter setup. Of course, I also got used to power steering, power brakes, and electric windows in my cars too.

I have had a few bikes now with heel and toe shifters and can honestly say that the heel part has never been touched on any of them as long as I owned them. I am taking the heel part off of my Ultra and replacing it with a spacer. that reminds me, someone was selling spacers on here....I have to do a search.

I use the toe most of the time, use the heel once in a while just so I won't forget its there.
Size 10 boot so I have plenty of room

Default heal toe shifter

Toe only. I have other bike's that only have the toe shifter. Want to keep things simple. Plus it makes the bike a lot lighter

When I first rode a bike years ago with the heel, it instantly felt natural for some reason. I stick with the heel-toe.

I use both but am starting to use just the "toe" more often now. Doubt I'll ever remove the shift arm and change to toe only.

I just removed the rear passenger floorboards and realized just how much weight that was too. Glad I took em' off. Although, any weight near the bottom of the bike is not a bad thing. Anyway, added the Wheeldock EZ-UP stand and that weight is very low so it's good.

So much simpler with toe only, IMHO.

I use both, only because the heal shifter is there. But I'm considering removing it because I'd like to the extra space on the floorboard to move my foot around.
