I have it stuck to a magnet sheet and take it on and off the front forks as I please. Never came off unless I take it off.

Most installations limit the location to windshield area or lower left front fork.

I just stuck mine to the lower left fork.
With the BIG USMC on front of my bike I think most folks would know I am military related anyway, base sticker or not.
And not that hard to peel and clean anyway
