I'm wanting a solo seat for my '08 RKC. I like the Sundowner with the classic basketweave, but it's only available for '97-'07 models. Is H-D planning on producing it for '08's soon, or am I just SOL. If thats the case guess I'll get a Corbin. Thanks for any info.

 

I asked this question a few weeks ago. The dealer says the MoCo may make one available later this year (or may not). He says the best way would for us interested folks (i.e., all of '08 RKC owners) to get a solo sundowner would be to write and ask that one be produced.

 

I have the sundowner on my 05. I love the look and the comfort. The down side is, no one makes a drivers backrest that works with it.

 

Wow, this forum never ceases to amaze me. I was wondering the same thing the other day just recently. Was gonna call dealer or ask next time I'm in there. Makes no sense that they wouldn't make one. Don't really want a Mustang. Doesn't hug my booty quite right. Sundowner is comfy, but I want my RK to look like the lone rider. Solo looks so nice, eh . . so nice . . oh yes.

I've been trying to find a seat builder that would make the modifications for a Sundowner Solo to fit on an 09' (or 08'). No luck so far. The Signature just don't cut it for looks or comfort. Don't want a Mustang ot a Corbin. Not sure what I'm gonna do but I will have the seat I want by spring.

 

A chopped tour pak works very well with a sundowner solo seat.
