Fitted Glove Box Liner Kit
#11
I made my own about a year ago. For what HD wants for theirs, I knew I could make something better, for me anyway. I used a product called floss. It's a thin wool like material used to cover the inside of fiberglass truck bed lids and caps. Usually can be found at most aftermarket accessory truck dealers. Comes in two colors that I have seen, gray and dark gray. Gives the lid and or cap a real nice finished look.
I took my time, made construction paper templates and then cut the material to size. I used 3-M spray adhesive inside the lowers and on the back of the material. I cut several pieces, I think it took four seperate pieces inside of each compartment. Once the glue was set up I carefully placed and seated each piece in. The beauty of this install was that once done, it is seamless. You don't see any gaps or creases like you will in the HD kit.
I don't have the QD kit for my lowers so I simply cut access holes for hardware. Unless you look for them, you don't even see them. The floss material is cheap. In fact most palces will just give you the scraps. I got enough scrap material to make a set for myself and a buddy. Once he saw mine he asked me to make him some too. Luckily I saved the paper templates. In fact, I threw them out last night while cleaning the garage, getting ready for my next project.

I just saw the HogTrough covers in the new issue of Hot Bike Baggers. They look nice, but expensive. I really like the coffe cup holder that you can get for the door, but that damn thing is more than $150 by itself! A little too pricey IMHO.
