Default Touring Pipes?

What the heck are touring pipes? I've been asking a lot of questions about stage 1 pipes but now I come to learn that "touring pipes" are out there too.

Been riding touring bikes for quite a while and never heard of a Stage 1 pipe or a so called Touring pipe !! HD has what they call their Screamin Eagle Touring slip ons which is just a very quiet pipe, maybe a little more noise than stock but not much. Most people riding a touring bike with radio don't won't a real loud pipe. I've run the Vance & Hines Oval slip ons on most of my touring bikes and love them and just changed over to their Monster Ovals and they are a great pipe.
