Mine rattles to a point that it is the second loudest thing on my bike! Is there something that I can put in there to calm that knocking! It drives me crazy when I am off the bike and can hear it in the house!
Can't it has a pin with clip and the length is fixed. Other than shimming I don't know what to do at this point. I was thinking on putting one of those wavy washers in there to take up some slack but wanted to see what anyone else has done for this.
A buddy of mine had the same problem as you. And all he did was take a old plastic bottle (one that has a pert near flat side to it) and cut out a piece small enough as not to be seen and put a hole in it that was big enough for the pin to go through. And that solved the problem. Hope this helps.

09 Ultra...Dam I love this bike.
Not to hyjack your thread. On mine, I've cut plastic washers out of fabric softener and laundry soap bottles to make shim washers for the clutch and hand brake levers. I just used a paper punch for the small hole and a piece if steel pipe sharpened on the end to make the larger dia. Then I bought a shim cutter. Go figure. But my Guardian Bell jungles when idleing, so it's working. No road gremlins, yet.
