Here is where I go for shields on the SG:
http://www.customflhtwindshields.net/

A great mom n Pop outfit with great service etc. I use the 1/2 moon wider shields which is great for more hand protection in cool weather too.

I recommend them anyday...good pricing also!

Thanks

+ 1 Clearly... Clearview shields are very popular and much cheaper than Clockwerks. Look better too. I don't like my windshields looking melted.

I've been throught the gauntlet with windshields (kind of like with the seats). I put a Windvest on Terrie's Street Glide when it was new. I replaced my Clearview with a Windvest.

I know that several of the Ultra Classic owners and two of the 09 Road Glide owners on the CVO forum have switched from Klockwerks to Windvest.

The blue and black SEEG has the 8" smoked, the red SG has 6" dark tint Windvests.

I replaced my Klock Werks Flare windshield with a Cee Bailey's SSC and I much prefer the Cee Bailey's.

...but again, that's just my opinion, and everybody's got one.

I have the tinted flared Klock and I do like it. Most of the air is channeled and travels around you. Big bugs can cut through and slam into you though. I haven't tried others, but I can say that I am happy with what I have.

Got the 6.5 flair from KW on my flhx. Not one complaint about it.

1st bought the 6.5" KW for my 09 SG, but couldn't fit the 3-pouch t-Bags. KW just released their fix - new 8.5" shield claims to be a better clearance for windshield bags. Should have mine today...will let you know how it works.

For the 6.5" KW - great WS & I had "0" wind buffeting problems (I'm 5'11") so the 8.5" WS should be better...
