A lot of guys say buy the EG Classic instead of the SG and dress it down because it is a cheaper option. That may be true bit I would rather dress up a SG to my own liking. I like the trim level and clean lines of the SG much better than the EG Classic.

Go for Ultra if you can. There's nothing wrong with EGC as it's a good bike too. You can always dress 'er down to SG.

Happy Shopping,

EGC for the price and you will have fun changing it to what will appeal to you!

Street Glide went through the same problem, glad I chose the SG. There is a reason they are everywhere.

EGC would be the way I would go. I had an 04 Ultra when the SG
first came out and bought one planning then to sell the Ultra.
I sold the SG instead. The looks of the SG I like but for the type
riding that I do, it's the EGC over the SG. For me it's Ultra and
nothing else. Just my opinion and everyone's got one.
Good luck on your decision and ride safe!!!

13K for an 06 EGC. I would jump on that. You are going from a RoadGlide which are suppose to be the smoothest touring bike around to a fixed fairing bike. Any chance you can take them for a test ride? Which one has more extras?

Street Glides are popular. You will probably be able to find used Ultra at comparable prices.
A SG is not a stripped down EGC. If I remember correctly the SG has different gauges, shocks, forks, seat, passenger pegs and a few trim pieces different than the rest of the Batwings.
Think about the type riding you do and what is important to you. If you want a SG then buying a SG is the cheapest way to get it.

It depends where you want your stock bike to start from. They're both cool looking but they each have different features standard.
