By law, Red Line Shock Proof is the only oil you are allowed to use! If you choose to use motor oil, we will find you! And you will be arrested!

A lot of people use it and a lot will say there is a lot better out there. As a lot of discussions go, it's up to which side of the fence you are on. Myself, I used 20/50 motor oil for the first 7500 miles. Now, I only use Redline Shockproof Heavy. As it has been stated many times, it's a gear box not an engine. aka motor oil in motors, gear oil in gear box. But, I know a gentleman who has 190,000 miles on his 99 Ultra that uses 20/50 oil, so go figure.

Here is where I get mine. They ship anywhere. Redline also makes different weights of shock absorber oils. I got some 7.5 weight from them. http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/[/url]

I run amsoil 20w-50 all three holes. On the bottle it states 'High performance engine, transmission, and primary chaincase lubricant. This what also use in my V Rod, which has all three share the same oil,

Redline now has V-Twin tranny oil. it's available at Cycle Gear stores that are all over. I put it in my 09 at 800 miles and it's awesome. I used Heavy Duty shockproof in my 01 with same results.
