Default Licence Plate Relocation on Road Glide

I have searched the forum and cannot seam to find what I really need. I see that Softbrake, J&P and Dennis Kirk all have plate relocation stuff that is just a plate that gets bolted on using the light bar. That is what I want but as you know the light bar on the RG is different than the light bar on the EG or RK so I am having trouble determining whiich one is the right one for my RG.

I found this one: https://www.softbrake.com/shop/produ...dgroup=License Part # SB-SSLPR-RK

But then there is this one : http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...&mmyId=1600258 and it says that it fits FLT

And J&P has this one. http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...c-53328ec766ad

As you all know the RG has the same light bar as the SG so I am not sure which one of these is the right one for my RG.

I did find the correct tail lens though: http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbo...730?q=78050017

Thanks for any help provided !!!!

JB, the SG and RG do NOT use the same turn signal bar. The RG uses a simple bullet turn signal bar which is also used on the RK Custom and softail models. The SG turn signal bar also incorporates a license plate LED.

You can use any of the license plate relo kits you list since the Touring models use the same bolt hole location for pancake, bullet, and SG turn signal bars. In fact, HD lists a plain bullet turn signal bar as a replacement for the pancake turn signal bar. IIRC, Monstermile recently installed the HD bullet turn signal bar on his Ultra and posted pics.

Good luck with your project.

Harleypingman is right, the light bars are different on the RG and the FLHX. I ordered the FLHX turn signal bar from my dealer, then swapped the guts from mine to the new one. Then I was able to add the Kuryakyn curved plate holder made for the streetglide. I am pleased with my setup.

I used the Softbrake model on mine. I can probably dig out a part number if you need it. Just a note though, my license plate is not lit up as of now.

I am looking into this as well, I have looked at several different ways and you can also find the lay down or low profile brake light lens with the light window on the bottom in red clear or smoked. Does anyone have the part number for just the SG bar with the plate light in it? I just don't want to get upwards of $200 for this relo when you can get the Cycle Visions Eliminator for about $300 and get rid of it all.

Also if anyone has the Cycle Visions Eliminator please post pics and let us know how you like it and if it is worth the $$...I am curious since the brake light and turn signals are in the frame if they are bright enough. Pics at night would be great...may have to make this it's own thread.
