Default What is the largest tire the rear of a SG can Handle?

I like a larger rear tire and notice the SG comes with a 180. Would a bigger tire be an issue to put on this bike. And will it make it a more stable bike with the larger rear tire?

Thanks

I will be keeping an eye on your post. I was wondering if it is possible to put a 200 on an 09

I believe the 09 comes with a 180.
My 05 Vrod came with a 180 and I put a 200 on it with no problems at all.
That being said I think it may be possible to put a 200 on an 09 SG.
My 08 SG has the regular size tire and it is fine by me.
Good luck in your search for the right answer.

A buddy of mine has the same bike as mine, he just put a 200 on the back.

The local dealer changed out the tire / wheel on an 09 SG and got a 200 to fit. Looks great. I wonder how it handles.

A 200 will fit on an '09. HDwheels.com and HogPro (look in the Bagger gallery) are both doing it.

I have a 200/50-18 waiting to be mounted on my rims whenever they arrive.
