I had Wicked Stitches customize a seat for me. I bought a Harley Tall Boy seat for my Road King Custom. It fit me well but the seat looked too bulky on the bike. I took the seat to Paul, the owner, and he did an awesome job reworking the seat just the way I wanted it. He does custom seats for choppers and does seat repairs for many of the Harley dealers in PA, Ohio, NY and WV. I’m sure he would work on a seat if you mailed it to him. They are definitely worth a phone call if you need a seat repaired or customized.

Seat Rehab
I also had my 08 Ultra's seat rebuilt by a company in Jonesboro, IN called Ride & Leather. They kept the original cover and frame and custom made blue gel honeycomb insert with special combination of layered material.
Had it done last February and put about 10,000 miles on it since then. Not perfect, but definitely has given me more miles with comfort.
Also...and don't laugh...I wear special padded under the jeans pants I purchased from Aerostich.com. They are adapted from original bicycle padded pants, but reshaped for our needs. Ventilated crotch helps as well.
Combination of the seat (about 1/3 to 1/2 cost of Sundowner new seat) rehab and pants allows me to easily travel over 125 miles without stopping. And when I do stop and shake out the stiffness, I find that the recovery time to do it all over again is a few minutes.
Good luck in your search!

Another vote for the Sundowner. It was the 4th seat I tried on my 04 Road King and I really liked it. Shortly after I got my 08 SG, I bought the Sundowner, telling myself it would be more comfortable for my wife. I really liked the clean low profile look of the stock seat so I thought I would use the stock seat for my around town, back and forth to work, close to home riding. 3k miles later, the stock seat has been back on once, and I really missed the Sundowner that day.
