New Ultra In The Garage

Thanks guys, yeah I think am going to be fine with this bike. Had to laugh as the wife and I had play a little bit on it. She hasn't rode behind me since this past summer. She had to take a couple tries at getting on it. First thing was oh my this seat is so big and comfy. Any tricks you all know of would br appreciated. I have a feeling she will ride with me on some of the longer trips, I hope, anyway, one less thing to worry about. She is a good rider, but I do worry about all the idots out and about.

yeah I'm the old geezer sitting there and yeah I have to admit I am a little bit in shock. I knew I was going to do it, but then again I didn't.
2 more things, yeah, I just might have to change my name, but everyone knows me as the RdKingRider, everyone knew when they seen that King, it was me.
second, Any suggestions on wife getting on it without beating up everything. We played around and she did it, but it is something we have got to work on.
Once again, thanks.

Have her step on the left passenger board with her left foot and then just pass her right leg through between you and the tour pack. And tell her not to kick anything or you'll kick her! That second part is optional and probably not recommended. Also always have her tap you on the shoulder "before" she is getting on. That's something my wife has always done and it gives you a "heads-up" so you're not surprised and possibly lose your balance when she steps up.

When my wife gets on. The bike is straight up, I let her no I am ready, she put's left foot on left passenger footrest, folds my backrest in a little, put's right leg over passenger seat close to my back rest and presto she's in the lazyboy.
May take a little getting use to, I'm sure she will get the hang of it.
